Group D started
Präsident Hursky, D-Tournament
The Vienna Chess Federation organized already for the morning a City-Promenade and 50 chessplayers and attendants participated in this familiar tour in the downtown area of Vienna.
In the afternoon a colorful group of 26 players started in the D-Tournament . Promising children, among them a bigger group of Azerbaijan, meet experienced players. This group will be exciting, also because Christian Hursky, president of the Vienna Chess Federation, takes part after a longer period of chess-abstinence.
On the top-boards of group A with Gerald Hertneck only one GM lost half a point against FM Schnepp. Apart from that the favourites mad all clear, even though they had to fight harder.
