David Shengelia and Egor Krivoborodov played a solid game which ended in draw by perpetual chess.
Rainer Buhmann put the screws on Igor Khenkin with a new move in the middle game. Already the first inattention of Khenkin leaded to the loss of the game. Even though the queens were quickly changed the black king was captured by fully active white figurines.
Petrov, Polak, Ulibin and Fauland won also their games and so now are 7 players with 6 points at the top, closely followed by 16 players with 5 ½ points.
For Sunday a photo-finish with 7 ½ points can be expected.
Already on Friday ended group D (5 rounds Swiss System). The winners are Matthew Huber and Robert Marek with 4 ½ points.
